S3IT – ScienceCluster base

The ScienceCluster clinic is a program offered by S3IT that's designed to introduce new users to S3IT's ScienceCluster infrastructure in order that they can use it for their research.  This clinic benefits both researchers in addition to IT coordinators providing technical support. It takes approximately 2.5 hours.

Learning objectives 
This course will cover the basics of getting started with the ScienceCluster and running jobs on it. Topics include logging in to the ScienceCluster, managing your files across the various storage areas, submitting jobs with parallelized components, accessing outputted results, and much more.

Voraussetzungen

It is recommended to first take the CommandLine course or another basic linux command line tutorial; or to have reasonable prior experience with a linux/unix command line/shell/terminal.  Login access to the ScienceCluster should be obtained prior to the course.

Teilnehmende

This training is open to all researchers and IT coordinators at the University of Zurich that are either already using ScienceCluster for their research purposes or planning to use it.
